For a tooth which causes so much problem, the name Wisdom Teeth seems a little silly, don’t you think? These are the last teeth to grow into your jaw, after your back adult molars have settled.
This can cause a lot of tooth pain and problems if there is not enough room in your jaw. The wisdom tooth can be forced to grow through the gum at an awkward angle, causing pain and gum disease. Or, it can grow into the back molar, crushing and making a mess. Either way, they need to be removed.
There are a couple of options when it comes to dealing with wisdom teeth, and the sooner you get checked out with your dentist, the easier the procedure can be. From a procedure in the chair, to surgery. Sounds scary, but with us, it can be a breeze.
If you don’t get them looked at, they can cause massive pain and infection. They can impact upon the teeth, cracking them. If left alone, these bad boys of teeth can even impact upon your jaw.
